Because every pup deserves love, care, and a second chance — and every family deserves support.

At Barkyard, we believe in a community that cares. That’s why we’ve created the Barkyard Community Fund — a place where our customers, supporters, and neighbors can contribute to a bigger mission. When you donate, you help us support nonprofit partners who provide critical care, shelter, and safety for animals and families in need across Georgia and the Savannah region.

Who we support

We’re proud to partner with organizations with proven impact, including:

Ahimsa House — Georgia’s first (and only) nonprofit dedicated to helping survivors of domestic violence and their pets reach safety together. They provide emergency shelter, veterinary care, safe fostering, transport, and ongoing support.

Humane Society for Greater Savannah (HSGS) — A long-standing, community-focused shelter working to better the lives of pets and people, operating without government funding and relying on donations, adoptions, thrift-shop proceeds, and community generosity.

And other trusted local rescues and welfare organizations in our network, helping pets and people get the support they need.

By donating to Barkyard’s Community Fund, you help ensure these organizations can continue doing lifesaving work — and expand their reach.

Barkyard is not itself a registered nonprofit. The Barkyard Community Fund collects voluntary, unrestricted donations which Barkyard forwards to partner nonprofit organizations. All contributions are used exclusively to support the work of our nonprofit partners — including shelter, rescue, veterinary care, and community outreach. Barkyard maintains full discretion in selecting partner organizations and allocating funds, with the goal of maximizing positive impact. Because we are not a nonprofit, donations via the Community Fund aren't tax-deductible.

Why community donations matter

  • Many animal-welfare nonprofits receive little to no government funding — and rely heavily on individual and community support. For example, Humane Society for Greater Savannah depends on private donations, thrift-shop proceeds, events, and grants.

  • Some people escaping domestic violence face impossible choices — leaving pets behind or staying in unsafe situations. Through Ahimsa House, donors help ensure pets and their families can reach safety together.

  • It deepens community bonds. When we give, share, and care together, we strengthen safety nets for animals and people, building a truly compassionate community.

By donating to Barkyard’s Community Fund, you become part of a community that believes in second chances — for pets, for people, for neighbors. You help provide love, care, shelter, and hope where it’s needed most.

Thank you for standing with us.
